Musical ability is the sixth sense that very few humans are born with. This extraordinary ability to connect the physical attributes of reality with the powerful, yet transient emotions of the spiritual connects mothers to daughters, fathers to sons, and strangers to friends.

Linzy Evans Jr. discovered his God-given sixth sense at the budding age of ten. Linzy Evans Sr. and Lavette Evans insured that their son had the opportunity to explore and develop every talent and gift God bestowed upon him. As well, the influence of his grandfather, C.D. Evans, allowed Linzy to find the perfect voice that merged the natural and spiritual: his grandfather’s acoustic guitar. Strum by strum, Linzy unveiled a gift and passion for playing the guitar. As his motivation to master his craft matured, so did he. Spanky Alford, Jonathan Dubois, and Jarius Mozee were just a few of the many guitarists that inspired him to continue learning and perfecting his musicianship. Already familiar with the drums, Linzy began incorporating other instruments into his repertoire like the keyboard.

At the age of twenty-two, Linzy has already played for several inspiring artists including: Ziel, Norman Hutchins, Lillian Thomas, Anointed Worshippers, the Williams Brothers, Dorinda Clark Cole, and Myron Butler and Levi. Finding all styles of music enjoyable, he works to encounter in the future artists like Kim Burrell and Jamie Foxx.

Currently, Linzy is also member of a gospel jazz band originating from Waco, TX called C.H.O.R.D. By earning an associates degree in commercial music and audio technology, he solidified his role as a professional music producer. Although being a successful musician is an aspiration, Linzy’s primary purpose in life is to touch hearts and change lives with the instrument of music.
